Medical Experts
     Somewhere within the body of the letter that you receive from the ALJ informing you of your hearing, it may state that a medical expert is scheduled to appear at your hearing. The fact that an expert has been scheduled should be be viewed negatively.  Often the scheduling of experts is merely the personal preference of the ALJ.
     The medical expert can also help explain the medical records. In doing so this expert may ask you additional questions regarding your medical condition and then offer an opinion to the ALJ based on your answers.
